Experience and teaching approach

Early childhood music educator offering music classes for babies and young children using Diapason the Wizard and Suzuki cello in Mexico City. Specialist in musical education from infancy.

I completed my cello studies in Mexico City at the Facultad de Música of UNAM. I have been a member of several orchestras, including the Orquesta Sinfónica Juvenil de la Ciudad de México, the Orquesta Sinfónica Juvenil del Estado de Veracruz (OSJEV) and the Orquesta Sinfónica de Oaxaca (OSO), as well as various string ensembles elsewhere in the country. I have also worked as a cello teacher and as a beginner piano, string ensemble and body percussion teacher in Orquestas Escuela and other cultural centres in the states of Oaxaca, Campeche, Veracruz and Mexico City.

I have always been convinced of the enormous benefits that musical practice brings to overall development in childhood. For that reason I graduated with a Master’s in Musical Cognition from UNAM in Mexico City and earned a diploma in Educational Music Therapy at the same institution. This has allowed me to focus on Early Musical Stimulation, mainly working with babies from six months and with young children.

I am certified in Early Musical Stimulation with the Suzuki Method and as a Diapason the Wizard teacher. My commitment to teaching led me to qualify as a Suzuki cello teacher specialising in children from the age of three. I have also completed beginner piano courses.

I currently combine my work as a music teacher with studies in psychology, as I believe this discipline provides valuable tools for teaching in general and especially for musical education at very early ages.

In my view, the Diapason the Wizard Method enables musical instruction from a very early age at the highest level. It not only develops basic musical skills but also stimulates the child cognitively, socio‑emotionally and psychomotorically, preparing them holistically so that the transition to an instrument becomes natural and organic.

At our studio we offer music classes for babies using the Diapason the Wizard Method. This activity is wonderful for children because from infancy they can learn music naturally through play and singing. Music and musical stimulation classes are held with parents present to foster bonding and commitment between parents and children. This method continues up to around 7–8 years, and in these classes children not only learn musical language but also develop absolute pitch and other musical skills essential for playing any instrument.

At our music studio we also offer instrument lessons using the Suzuki Method for children from the age of three; we specialise in cello, piano, guitar and singing.

The music studio is located in Mexico City (CDMX) in Colonia del Valle. We also offer these classes (the Diapason the Wizard Method and the Suzuki Method).
