Experience and teaching approach
Early years music teacher specialising in Diapason the Wizard and trombone. Music classes for babies in Hellín, Albacete.
Hello, I'm Antonio Fernández. I am a Specialist Teacher in Music Education and Early Childhood Education, and a Higher Conservatory trombone teacher.
My academic training is extensive: I am a Specialist Teacher in Musical Education from the Universidad de Castilla La Mancha; a Profesor Superior in the trombone speciality from the Real Conservatorio Superior Victoria Eugenia de Granada; I hold a Master's degree in Musical Performance and Research from the Universidad Internacional de Valencia; a European Master's degree in Therapeutic Pedagogy from the Universidad Antonio de Nebrija; I have completed training courses in Music Therapy, Art Therapy and Dance Therapy at the Universidad Antonio de Nebrija; and ICT training courses at the Universidad de Murcia.
My teaching experience is mainly focused on early music education, children's music education and instrumental training within my speciality. Since 2006 I have taught Music and Movement (music classes for children aged 4 to 7), Ear training, trombone, tuba, euphonium, brass ensemble, children's musicals, and since 2009 I have taught Diapason the Wizard at the Hellín Municipal School of Music and the Hellín Municipal Nursery Schools (Albacete). In addition, from 2009 to 2020 I was director of the Music School and the Lorquí Band (Murcia).
Over the years I have taken courses and training to support pupils with special educational needs at the various centres where I have worked, because music is a unique resource for enhancing these pupils' emotional, expressive, cognitive and motor abilities.
The Diapason the Wizard method offers my students top-quality training, introducing them to the wonderful world of music from infancy. In a playful and highly engaging way, pupils begin their musical journey by coming into direct contact with musical language and ear training. On a personal level, this method not only enriches the pupils but also their teachers; the satisfaction of a job well done is one of the many rewards that teaching Diapason the Wizard classes brings us as teachers.
