I am Paula OsorioMusical performer and instrumental teacher for children and young people
I graduated from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Valparaíso under the tutelage of Heike Scharrer. At an early age I won the concurso Jóvenes Talentos in Concepción, which gave me the opportunity to appear as a soloist with that city’s Symphony Orchestra. I achieved the highest score for scholarships from the Fundación de Orquestas Juveniles e Infantiles and also took part in its 25th anniversary with the National Youth Orchestra of Scotland, performing with the orchestra at the Royal Albert Hall in London, the Schleswig-Holstein Musik Festival and the Konzerthaus Berlin.
I have been a member of the Orquesta Sinfónica de Chile, the Filarmónica de Santiago, Camerata Andrés Bello and the Orquesta Sinfónica de la Universidad de La Serena. In Spain: the Orquesta de la Universidad Rey Juan Carlos and the Orquesta Euroamérica de Madrid.
After completing my degree in musical performance I completed a Master’s in Artistic, Literary and Cultural Studies at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid. During my training I also took courses in instrumental pedagogy given by Heike Scharrer and in the philosophy of music teaching of the Suzuki method; I also studied Pre‑piano and Piano 1 of the same method and, alongside that, continued regular piano studies with Maestro Aníbal Correa. I have taught violin for more than fifteen years in various institutions, including the conservatory of the PUCV, regional schools and the Pentagrama School of Music in Madrid. I am currently teacher to the advanced students of the Orchestra of Universidad Técnica Federico Santa María, I teach violin and piano privately, and I am launching my Pequegenios academy to provide musical education to children and babies from early childhood.
